Sales Executive



Uganda Airlines is hiring a Sales Executive to build the Airlines business activities; responsible for discovering and pursuing new sales prospects and maintaining customer satisfaction. The goal is to meet and surpass the company’s expectations to drive rapid and sustainable growth.


Key duties & Responsibilities










  • Plan and implement sales activities to ensure targets are reached and recorded.

  • Responsible for the sales strategies and results of UR within the area of responsibility

  • Will be required to generate passenger revenues in the assigned areas and surpass the allocated targets. Protect existing business and constantly exploit new opportunities.

  • Create maximum awareness of UR’s products and services.

  • Analyze the markets potential to determine the value of existing and prospective customers in terms of sales opportunities

  • Collect, review and consolidate information to support the identification of intervention areas to ensure sales target achievement

  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with assigned current customers and prospective customers segment to generate revenues for the organization

  • Communicate and meet regularly with relevant accounts to inform them about new products and promotions to increase sales in order to reach the expected sales target

  • Identify and implement fidelity techniques to ensure a long-lasting fruitful business relationship with major accounts

  • Research, gather and analyze products availability in the market to assist in the proposal of new products and services to improve Company sales

  • Research, gather and analyze competitor’s information to define the bestselling approach to increase Company market quota and visibility

  • Cooperate with marketing and PR to determine the best promotion sales techniques

  • Communicate and regularly meet with area intermediaries to inform about new products and promotions to ensure the best and most updated value proposal is timely communicated to the market

  • Coordinate and draft contractual agreements with intermediaries to ensure customers’ requirements are captured effectively and in compliance with existing policies

  • Negotiate and manage commercial agreements with assigned accounts of trade and corporate segment to ensure sales can be closed, respecting corporate guidelines and indications

  • Negotiate new corporate contracts with TMC’s. Renegotiate the renewal of existing corporate contracts.

  • Participate in the RFP’s response process.

  • Represent UR at all Trade events recognized of interest to the company, carry out training products, seminars for Corporate Accounts and TMC’s accompany Familiarization Trips.


Minimum Qualification and Experience:



  • A bachelor’s degree combined with 4+ years of experience in a sales environment, preferably in the Airline, Travel or Hospitality industry.

  • You will need to possess excellent knowledge of industry trend and customers’ requirements, with proven track record in meeting and over-achieving sales targets.

  • You will also need excellent oral and written communication skills and have a proven ability to develop and maintain relationships at all organizational levels.
