Job Tittle: Credit Officer
Reports to: Head of Business
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda

Job Summary and Main Responsibilities
Portfolio/Recovery Management
- Analyze applicants’ financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
- Close loan applications and monitor them from application through to closing process maintaining effective communication with customers, referral sources and loan support staff.
- Gather customer’s authorizations and supporting documentation that is required by regulation and/or program guidelines.
- Fully recover the disbursed funds to a PAR of stated target.
Mobilization of New Clients
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for the company every month.
- Build a proper pipeline and make use of the lead pipeline.
- Participate in the marketing activities of DEED Microfinance Limited
- Explain to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available as well as the terms of the services.
- Generate complete loan applications with corresponding documentation.
Client relationship Management
- Handle customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them.
- Meet with customers to obtain information for both loan applications and answer questions about the process.
- Provide trustworthy feedback and after sales support.
- Any other duties assigned by the managing Director.
Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Microfinance, Accounting, Financing, Business Administration or Economics.
Experience
Working experience of at least 1 year.
