Savimaxx Limited Uganda is a multi-disciplinary professional consulting firm with demonstrated experience in successful management and implementation of projects.
We are looking for a Retainer Independent Dam Engineer with a Ph. D and at least five years’ experience or Master’s Degree with at least 15 years experience in civil engineering, hydraulic engineering or water resources engineering.
- Must have very good writing skills, editing, presentations and reporting skills.
- The consultant must be fluent in oral, listening and written English.
- Must be conversant in the design, planning, management, feasibility studies, environmental audits, environmental and social impact assessments of major hydropower projects.
- The consultant must be conversant with the design of civil works of hydropower infrastructure, analysis of geological and geotechnical assessments, risks and mitigation measures, understanding climate change adaptation solutions in the project design to address projected climate vulnerability.
- Key competences should be in hydropower dams, ground water resources assessment, water resources management, wetlands management, catchment/basin management, irrigation, water supply and sanitation.
- S/he must have very good interpersonal skills, must be able to work in a multi-disciplinary team and in a diverse multi-cultural environment.
