Police have arrested two suspects believed to be involved in violent robberies targeting residents in Kawempe and surrounding areas.
The suspects, identified as Serwanja Najjib and Derrick, were arrested on April 21 during an intelligence-led operation along Tula Namere Road in Kawempe Division, Wakiso District.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Racheal Kawala, police recovered pangas, housebreaking implements, two suspected stolen phones and a motorcycle UGD 081D.
Preliminary investigations indicate the suspects were breaking into homes, attacking victims with pangas and robbing them.
Investigations are ongoing as police pursue other suspects.
