Two dead in Njeru accident

Two people have been confirmed dead following an incident at Kitigoma along the Jinja-Kampala highway.

The accident that occurred Friday morning involved two vehicles registration numbers UBB 716F (Fuso fighter) and UAY 077A/ UAY 928A (fuel tank).

Preliminary findings indicate that the Fuso Fighter that was being driven by a yet to be identified driver from Jinja side heading towards Kampala direction upon reaching at Kitigoma village left his lane and entered in to the lane of on-coming Traffic (from Kampala side) and knocked the Fuel Tank which was heading towards Jinja side.

The driver of fuel tank and the turn man are admitted at Jinja hospital for treatment in a critical condition.

By press time, both motor vehicles were still at the scene pending towing.
