Kasese school ADF attack: We’ll find, punish killers & rescue kidnapped children – Gen. Jim Muhwezi

Security Minister, Maj Gen. Jim Muhwezi has described an attack on Lhubiriha Secondary School in Mpondwe as cowardly.

Attackers believed to be from the Allied Democratic Forces at the weekend attacked the school and killed 42 people, 35 of whom were students at the said school.

A number of prominent persons in the country’s educations sector and those in security have since camped in Kasese. Among these are the Chief of Defense Forces – Gen. Wilson Mbadi and Education Minister Janet Kataha Musevenei.

In a statement, Gen. Jim Muhwezi said that: “We will find and punish the perpetrators and rescue our kidnapped children.”

While addressing the media in Kampala on Monday, Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga said 20 ADF corroborators have been arrested to help in investigation. Also arrested, Enanga said are the school director and the headteacher as part of the inquiry.
