Singer King Michael reveals he will only consider marriage after his daughter’s wedding, scheduled for May 23, 2026, in Entebbe.

Musician King Michael, born Michael Mugwanya, has stunned fans with a surprising revelation about his marriage plans.

Speaking during an interview on Spark TV, the singer said he will only think about marrying after giving away his daughter in marriage.

Yes — his daughter’s wedding comes first!

According to King Michael, his daughter will soon introduce her fiancé in a traditional Kwanjula ceremony at their family home in Busabala. After that, the couple will officially tie the knot in a wedding scheduled for May 23, 2026, in Entebbe.

The singer couldn’t hide his excitement about the milestone, proudly declaring that he might be the first Ugandan artist to give away a daughter in marriage.

“Which artist have you seen giving out their daughter in marriage? I will be the first to do so,” King Michael bragged.

For the singer, the moment represents a huge achievement as a father.

King Michael has largely kept his romantic life away from the public eye over the years. However, more than a decade ago, reports surfaced that he quietly visited the home of his longtime partner Rhona Ndagire for a traditional introduction ceremony.

The couple later welcomed two children, including their late son Eric, who tragically died in a hit-and-run accident on Entebbe Road.

Despite the heartbreak, King Michael says 2026 is shaping up to be a year of joy for his family.

“I will first give my daughter’s hand in marriage before I think about marriage. I will be watching my beautiful daughter walking down the aisle. I invite you all to celebrate with me. That is when I will think about marriage myself. This year is full of happiness,” he said.
