JOB PURPOSE

RESPONSIBLE FOR CONDUCTING DAILY TANK DIPPING AND OPERATION OF METERING UNITS AND WEIGHBRIDGE TO SUPPORT THE STOCKS MOVEMENTS OPERATIONS AND ENSURE ACCURACY OF PRODUCTS RECEIPTS, THROUGHPUT RECORDS AND STOCKS BALANCES.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Conduct daily tank dipping/gauging, compute and report on in-tank stock inventory for the stock controller review and approval.
  • Supervise the operation of offloading and loading metering units and report on the daily stocks handling operations and any irregularities.
  • Maintain and continuously update the offloading and loading metering units’ registers and prepare daily reconciliation reports to inform stock movement reports.
  • Operate the weigh bridge, generate clients’ receipts and prepare daily reports on its performance.
  • Prepare reconciliation reports on the metering systems, tank gauges and weigh bridge for the relevant Terminals Operations Officer review.
  • Monitor and report of performance of tank gauges, metering units and weigh bridges to ensure that they are always working within the set optimal accuracy limits.
  • Participate in periodical calibration of metering units, weigh bridges and tank gauging systems.
  • Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor(s).

Qualifications & Experience

  1. A Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, Education, Engineering, Business Management or any other related diploma obtained from a recognized training Institute.
  2. Minimum of three (3) years working experience in a first moving consumer goods company or any other reputable commercial organization/company with a customer service orientation.
  3. Specific experience/knowledge in operations of petroleum products terminal/depot is an added advantage.
  4. Knowledge of Health and Safety protocols in Depot Operations is Petroleum Product Terminals/Depots is an added advantage
  5. Proficiency in MS Office [MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook].
