Job Purpose
To provide safe, reliable and punctual transportation services for students, staff and school activities in compliance with all traffic regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive school vehicles safely following all traffic laws
- Conduct daily vehicle safety checks (tyres, brakes, lights, fluids)
- Maintain accurate log books and mileage records
- Ensure vehicle is clean and mechanically sound
- Plan efficient routes and maintain schedules
- Transport students for field trips and school events
- Report vehicle maintenance needs promptly
- Manage emergencies according to school protocol
- Fuel and maintain vehicles as required
- Uphold school's code of conduct while driving
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid driver's license (Class relevant to vehicle)
- Clean driving record (certificate required)
- Minimum 3 years driving experience
- PSV/Taxi driving license (where applicable)
- Defensive driving certificate (preferred)
- Basic vehicle maintenance skills
- First Aid certification
- Knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns
- Patient and responsible demeanor
- Must pass medical examination
