JOB DETAILS:
DAKS Couriers Limited is a Leading transport and Logistics company in Uganda; a home-grown company with headquarters located in Kamwokya at Plot 64, Kira Road, opposite the Uganda Museum. Our products and services range from, transportation & distribution, clearing, forwarding and warehousing.
Sales Representative.

Job role:
Plan, identify new customers and sale services, establish and maintain relationships with potential and existing customers, analyze market data and feedback, and propose areas of improvement.

Key Result Areas:
• Promote the company’s services, execute sales and ensure realization of sales targets as per the sales strategy.
• Expand the customer base with new as well as maintain existing customer relations, whilst keeping the individual customer portfolio up-to-date at all times.
• Visit existing and potential customers, profile their needs and liaise with the operations, transport and ICD teams to offer services that fit customers’ requirements.
• Receive shipping documents and open individual client files, forward the files to Accounts Receivables to be captured.
• Follow up and validate customer information captured before any job is undertaken to avoid wrong customer information.
• Ensure that a job file is sent to the Accounts Office and an invoice generated within 48 hours after delivery of the consignment to the customer’s premises.
• Liaise with the Operations team and follow up on the tax clearance process and ensure all clearance is done before trailers arrive at the border to attain a target of trailers not spending more than one day at the border.
• Assist in handling customer complaints and concerns and make sure the problem is corrected to customer’ and dealership’s satisfaction.

Requirements;
• Must have a degree in any field from a recognized institution.
• Have at least 5 years experience in clearing and forwarding /ICD Operations.
• Ability to ride a motorcycle, with valid license.
• Must be familiar with current URA warehousing systems.
