Key Responsibilities
Provide legal advice and guidance to SACCOs on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters.
Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies.
Represent SACCOs in legal proceedings and manage external legal counsel when necessary.
Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in legislation affecting the co-operative sector.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university.
Postgraduate Diploma in Law from School of Law.
Must be an Advocate of the High Court with a current practicing certificate.
Proven experience in a legal role, preferably within the financial services or co-operative sector.
