Background

Exquisite Solution Limited is seeking an experienced Quality Control Chemist for a client in the manufacturing sector. The role is responsible for testing and analyzing raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to verify compliance with established quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality testing of production batches and maintain retained samples.
  • Maintain and regularly update the retained sample database.
  • Adjust product quality parameters (e.g., viscosity, specific gravity, gloss, color, contrast, spray performance) to meet specifications.
  • Investigate and resolve critical quality control issues to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Perform raw material evaluation and comparative testing.
  • Support product orientation sessions and provide technical training to sales personnel as required.
  • Assist in process control activities and resolution of customer complaints.
  • Participate in Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) activities to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Contribute to ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System implementation.
  • Support waste management practices, including wastewater analysis for effluent discharge compliance.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial chemistry or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Quality Control Chemist or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes and quality control standards.
  • Understanding of QMS, EMS, and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Effective communication skills, initiative, and basic knowledge of first aid and fire-fighting procedures.
