On behalf of our client in the Old Mutual Insurance Uganda, we are looking for skilled and competent Performance Data Analyst GMT to work in Kampala.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and driven Performance DATA Analyst GMT’s to join our dynamic team. you will be responsible for analyzing complex performance data, generating actionable insights, and developing data‑driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support strategic decision-making. You will work with large and complex data sets, use advanced statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to extract insights.

Responsibilities

• Leverage Power BI for Reporting and Visualization, developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present data findings and model results to stakeholders.
• Communicate complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences. Identify trends and patterns, draw insights to support investment decisions and risk management.
• Design and deploy AI and ML techniques to automate repetitive tasks and processes, such as data cleaning, report generation, and anomaly detection.
• AI / ML Model Development and Implementation to enhance productivity, decision and time efficiency to unlock performance and competitive opportunities within the business.
• On behalf of Business Transformation, lead with cross functional Collaboration with heads of functions and reporting roles to embed a data-driven culture for decision making.
• Research and Innovation; Stay abreast of the latest developments in Power BI, visualization and reporting, and AI / ML to keep the organization ahead of the latest application trends in the insurance and financial services industry.

Requirements

Qualifications;

• Must be a recent graduate (within 2yrs), with a 1st class or 2nd upper bachelor’s degree in accounting & finance, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Financial Informatics, or Mathematics

Skills and Competences

• Excellent analytical and DATA modelling, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in creating Dashboards and utilizing Business Intelligence Tools
• Strong proficiency in Power BI and other DATA analysis tools – specifically Python, SQL, R, Excel
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• Effective communication and presentation skills
