Position Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Techno Functional Consultant to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise in Oracle EBS development tools and a deep understanding of its functional modules. This role is critical in supporting, enhancing, and implementing Oracle EBS solutions to meet our evolving business needs. The consultant will act as a bridge between business users and functional & technical teams, and ensuring the effective support of the EBS system, configuration, customization, and maintenance of our Oracle EBS environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Solution Design and Architecture:

Design, develop, and implement solutions within Oracle EBS, including configurations, customizations, extensions, interfaces, and reports (CEMLI - Configurations, Extensions, Modifications, Localizations, Integrations).

2. Technical Development:

  • Develop and modify Oracle Forms, Reports, PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and SQL queries.
  • Create and maintain Workflow customizations and Business Events.
  • Develop and manage Integrations with other systems using Oracle APIs, Web Services, and other integration methodologies.
  • Utilize Oracle Application Framework (OAF) and Oracle Forms Personalization for UI enhancements.
  • Develop Discoverer reports and other reporting solutions as required.

3. Functional Configuration and Support:

  • Configure Oracle EBS modules based on business requirements.
  • Provide functional support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for end-users.
  • Conduct functional testing (SIT, UAT) and support user acceptance testing.
  • Develop and deliver end-user training and documentation.

4. System Maintenance and Performance:

  • Monitor system performance and perform tuning as needed.
  • Manage Oracle EBS patching, upgrades, and cloning activities in collaboration with DBA teams.
  • Ensure data integrity and security within the EBS environment.

5. Documentation:

Create and maintain detailed technical and functional design documents, test plans, user manuals, and other project-related documentation.

6. Project Management Support:

Participate in project planning, estimation, and execution, adhering to project timelines and deliverables.

7. Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with IT colleagues, business users, external vendors, and consultants to ensure successful project delivery and ongoing support.

8. Problem Solving:

Diagnose and resolve complex technical and functional issues, providing timely and effective solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle EBS Techno Functional Consultant.
  • Proven experience in at least 2 to 3 full life cycle Oracle EBS implementations or major upgrade projects.
  • Strong functional knowledge of key Oracle EBS modules, such as:
    • Human Capital Management (HR, Payroll, SSHR) - Highly Desired
    • Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA, CE, CM)
    • Projects (PA)

Technical Proficiency:

  • Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Workflow and XML Publisher (BI Publisher).
  • Proficiency in Oracle Application Framework (OAF) and OAF Personalization’s/Extensions.
  • Experience with Oracle APIs and Web Services for integrations.
  • Familiarity with Concurrent Programs, Value Sets, Flex fields.
  • Knowledge of Discoverer, Toad, SQL Developer, or similar tools.
  • Basic understanding of Oracle EBS architecture and database concepts.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle certifications in relevant EBS modules or technologies.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud applications (e.g., ERP Cloud) or a roadmap to transition.
  • Knowledge of shell scripting, Java, or other programming languages.
  • Experience with data migration tools (e.g., SQL*Loader, FNDLOAD).
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices.
