Job Description

Job Title: Manager Digital Marketing & Communications

Reporting to: Senior Manager Marketing

Division – Commercial Operations

Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

To develop, manage, and execute the company’s communication and digital engagement strategy, ensuring strong brand visibility, effective customer engagement, data-driven campaign performance, and alignment across teams—while owning digital communication projects, budgets, and product Net Promoter Scores (NPS).

Responsibilities

Main Job Functions:

Develop and execute communication strategies:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans to increase brand awareness, generate leads, and engage with our target audience.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest communication trends and technologies to enhance our digital presence and increase engagement.

Manage digital channels:

  • Oversee the company's social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other emerging platforms.
  • Develop content for social media, email marketing, and other digital channels that align with our brand and messaging guidelines.
  • Monitor and analyze social media and website analytics to track engagement, identify areas of improvement, and make data-driven recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of our digital campaigns.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams:

  • Work closely with Marketing, Public Relations, Sales, and Customer Service teams to ensure consistent messaging across all digital channels.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to create impactful digital campaigns that drive business results.

Lead digital communication projects:

  • Manage all aspects of digital communication projects, including project planning, budget management, and execution.
  • Ensure that all digital communication projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed expectations.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelors or master’s in marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • MBA or a Post graduate Degree or Diploma or Professional qualification in a business-related discipline is an added advantage

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital communications or marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing media platforms and content creation.
  • Experience in Fintech, banking, or Mobile Money is preferred
  • Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise with a good understanding of emerging markets is preferred.
