Job Purpose
To maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation throughout the school premises to promote a healthy learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices and common areas daily
- Disinfect toilets, urinals and washrooms multiple times daily
- Empty trash bins and manage waste disposal
- Mop floors and clean windows as scheduled
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
- Report maintenance needs (leaks, damages, repairs)
- Ensure adequate supply of soap, toilet paper and hand towels
- Follow cleaning schedules for different areas
- Assist with special cleaning projects during holidays
- Maintain outdoor cleanliness (compound, pathways)
- Follow infection control protocols
Qualifications & Requirements
- Basic literacy and numeracy
- Previous cleaning experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and procedures
- Physical fitness for cleaning duties
- Attention to detail
- Understanding of basic hygiene principles
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
