We’re looking for a Junior Corporate/Commercial Lawyer who can combine strong technical skills with commercial insight to support our commercial contracting processes and ensure regulatory excellence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including distribution, leasing, procurement and technology contracts.
  • Support regulatory compliance and interactions with the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC).
  • Provide legal support for new product launches, commercial initiatives, ESG matters and strategic partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, competition, consumer protection, and sector-specific laws.

We are looking for a person with the following qualifications/skills:

  • Qualified lawyer with solid experience in corporate/commercial law.
  • Telecoms, technology, infrastructure, or regulated-industry experience is an advantage.
  • Strong contract negotiation skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Commercially minded, detail-oriented, and confident engaging with range of persons.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
