As the assistant manager, you will be responsible for performing the following duties and responsibilities:

Responsibilities or duties

  1. Supervision of all field activities
  • Lead all field activities of loans officers including customer acquisition, assessment, disbursement, monitoring and Loan recovery.
  1. Evaluating credit worthiness of clients.
  • Receive loan applications from loans officers and perform credit investigation on loan applicants and their sureties/guarantors/ co-borrowers, if any.
  • If necessary, conduct inspection and/or appraisal of any property being offered as collateral.
  1. Client revisits.
  • Ensure all due diligence and background checks/ evaluation is completed and thorough before loans are granted.
  • You will ensure that there are no ghost clients. You will further provide to the Credit Committee and Management an independent and comprehensive opinion as regards to whether the applicant should be approved or denied.
  1. Recovery of loans
  • You will be required to assist loan officers in recovery of the loans in arrears/ default for the hard-core clients.
  • You will further assist staff in planning course of action to recover outstanding payments and negotiating payoff deadlines or payment plans
  1. Reports, Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly narrative and statistical reports
  2. Staff Safety, Ensure the safety of staff form any abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation
  3. Any other duties

You are expected to be flexible in carrying out any other reasonable task as requested in furtherance of the Company’s business objectives.

Key Performance indicators of the Job

  • Delinquency Management- Loan Portfolio Quality in terms of Portfolio at risk and Non-performing Loans of not exceeding the set targets
  • Client retention rate
  • Size of the Loan Portfolio
  • Company’s Profit Margin
  • Loan Write-offs
