About Us
Spear Motors Ltd, the Sole official distributor for Daimler AG, Germany the manufacturers of Mercedes Benz and Fuso; the official distributor for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), the manufacturers of Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge seek to recruit two (02) highly experienced Accountants.
Reporting To – Senior Accountant

Job Purpose:
To assist the Senior Accountant to provide the Director Finance and Administration with financial information and reports required to make timely and accurate strategic decisions.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepare the monthly management reports.
2. Prepare monthly budget performance reports explaining all variances.
3. Prepare the annual budget by coordinating and consolidating all departmental budgets.
4. Prepare payment vouchers and ensure that all creditors are paid on time.
5. Prepare journal vouchers and ensure that they are posted on time.
6. Monitor the process of acquisition, custody, management, usage and disposal of company assets and maintain the company’s fixed assets register.
7. Reconcile all creditors’ and debtors’ accounts and ensure that all outstanding balances are supported by invoices.
8. Prepare monthly creditors and debtors ageing analysis reports.
9. Costing of company products and services.
10. Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements.
11. Prepare monthly payroll.
12. Prepare monthly and annual financial statements that conform to IFRS.
13. Ensure that all accounting transactions are accurately and promptly posted.
14. Ensure that all manual receipts and banking for daily collections are posted in time.
15. Ensure that all vehicles received are stocked on Evolve System.
16. Ensure that all vehicles are invoiced before delivery.
17. Perform any other duties as may be requested or assigned by the supervisor.

KEY SKILLS, QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE
1. Bachelor Degree in either B.Com (Accounting), BBA (Accounting), or its equivalent from a recognised university.
2. CPA/ACCA fully qualified member.
3. Minimum 3-5 years’ with proven experience as an Accountant.
4. Strong background in Auditing.
5. Experience with financial reporting requirements.
6. Understanding of mathematics and accounting and financial processes.
7. High level of computer literacy.
8. A team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
9. Must be proactive and innovative.
10. Result oriented individual.
