In a vibrant celebration of Uganda’s thriving gospel music industry, the Royal Gospel Music Company is once again set to honour the artists who uplift the nation with their talent and message. The 4th annual Royal Gospel Music Awards (RGMAs) are officially here, promising an unforgettable night of praise, recognition, and world-class entertainment.
For the past three years, the RGMAs have stood as a beacon of encouragement for gospel artistes, recognising their creativity, resilience, and the passion they pour into their music. This year, the tradition continues on Friday, December 12th, at the luxurious Imperial Royale Hotel, Kampala.
The awards were officially launched on Wednesday, December 3rd, during a spirited press briefing at the same venue. Speaking at the event, Wesley, the King of Radio, fondly known as the Godfather of the Gospel Music Industry in Uganda and CEO of Royal Gospel Music Company, highlighted the heart behind the awards.

“Gospel artistes are often not paid or appreciated enough,” he shared. “We created these awards to support and encourage them. After investing time, money, and energy into their craft, there should be something tangible to show for their effort.”
This year’s edition is expected to be the most spectacular yet. The organisers promise a state-of-the-art production, complete with top-tier performances and high-energy presentations. In a historic twist, the event will be hosted for the first time by a gospel artiste—Levixone—who will co-host alongside celebrated media personality and actress Nicole Estella.
Unlike previous editions that included artistes from across Africa, the 2024 RGMAs will spotlight only Ugandan gospel talent, with local artistes competing across 53 categories. Voting is already in full swing through the Royal Gospel Music app, available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Tickets are also on sale via the app at:
• UGX 100,000 – Ordinary
• UGX 250,000 – VIP
• UGX 3,000,000 – VVIP
The RGMAs are proudly powered by a strong lineup of partners, including Roke Telecom, ZTE Nubia, JBL Studios, Spirit TV, Pepsi, Euro Gold, Victory Travel Centre, BLACK, Made Of God, and Victoria University.
With excitement rising and voting intensifying, the countdown is officially on. The 4th Royal Gospel Music Awards are set to shine a well-deserved spotlight on the artistes who inspire, uplift, and transform lives through gospel music.
