Comedian Patrick ‘Salvado’ Idringi is set to hold the second edition of his one-man show dubbed “Man from Ombokolo”.
Salvado officially announced his show at a press conference held on Tuesday evening where he also unveiled his show sponsors.
Speaking at the event, he noted that he is not just lucky, but blessed as different big brands have come on board to support him among which is The Singleton, the world’s fastest growing single malt whisky, who are the title sponsors.
“This show would not have been possible without God’s blessing,” he stated. “For big brands to come behind you and support you shows that you are not lucky, but you are blessed.”
He further noted that it will be a wonderful show as he promised to crack jokes about recent topical issues as he takes over the stage for three hours.
“I am going to give my fans a ‘made of taste’ show. There is a lot that has happened in Uganda recently for me to do an entertaining 3-hour show.” He added.
On why The Singleton came on board to support Salvado, Annette Nakiyaga, Head of Whisky Portfolio at Uganda Breweries explained that, “The most pleasurable whisky moments go beyond the liquid. The Singleton forms creative collectives with the most talented crafts people to forge unforgettable experiences and Salvado is one of the most talented people of our time.”
“Man from Ombokolo” season 2 will take place on Friday October 27, 2017 at the Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala. Tickets will be going for 100K.
