Songstress Nina Roz has spoken out following her loss in the recently concluded General Elections, where she contested for the position of Woman Member of Parliament for Sembabule District.
Speaking almost a week after the elections, Nina Roz revealed that she does not regret joining politics despite the challenges she faced along the way.
“I was invited to that ceremony by a close friend of my father who knew where I belonged. I don’t regret being in politics; the challenges I went through only made me better,” she said.
Before the elections, the singer-turned-politician was embarrassed at a social gathering where she was reportedly forced to leave after appearing with her National Unity Platform (NUP) head ballot. The incident attracted public attention and sparked mixed reactions on social media.
Despite the setbacks and public criticism, Nina Roz remains positive.
She noted that the political experience strengthened her and helped her grow personally.
The songstress says she is proud of taking part in the political process and remains grateful for the support she received from her supporters in Sembabule District.
