Ugandan singer Maro has opened up about the misunderstanding that once strained his relationship with comedian and media personality Patrick Salvado, revealing that the two have since reconciled after a candid conversation.

Speaking during an interview on Deep Talk, Maro disclosed that tension arose when Salvado organized a major event on the same day as his long-planned concert, something that left him feeling betrayed at the time.
“Salvado betrayed me and organized his birthday event on my exact concert date, but we later buried the hatchet,” Maro said.
According to the singer, the issue stemmed from both events being scheduled on Valentine’s Day. Maro explained that he had informed Salvado in advance about his concert and its date. However, while moving around town promoting his show, he was shocked to see billboards advertising Salvado’s event slated for the very same day.
“Me and Salvado go way back, and even right now we have no problem. But at that time, I had my concert and I told him about it. Then I started seeing his billboards for an event on the same day, and I got really angry,” Maro revealed, adding that the situation pushed him to publicly label Salvado a “traitor.”
With time, however, Maro says he took a step back to reflect on the situation and later learned that the date in question was also Salvado’s birthday.
The comedian was reportedly planning to celebrate the milestone and had already submitted proposals and advertisements to various companies, even though everything had not yet been finalized.
“His event was already in the pipeline, but he didn’t tell me because it wasn’t yet approved or fully ready. When we finally talked, he explained everything and was honest with me,” Maro said.
The singer concluded by noting that the two sat down, cleared the misunderstanding, and restored their friendship, putting the incident behind them.
