FDC strongman Dr. Kizza Besigye seems to have already given up on hope of his party retaining the Kyadondo East parliamentary seat even when tallying of votes is still ongoing.
This after he came out to congratulate singer Bobi Wine, real name Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi, on what he called a landslide victory in the Kyadondo East parliamentary by-election.
Besigye who is a close friend of Bobi Wine relayed his congratulatory message through Twitter. “Landslide victory for the HE Bobi Wine. Congratulations-PEOPLE POWER! That’s why Wakiso people weren’t allowed to vote 2016,” he wrote.

This comes after preliminary results at different polling stations showed that Bobi Wine was in a clear lead.
Bobi Wine, who was standing on an independent ticket, faced off with NRM’s Sitenda Sebalu, FDC’s Apollo Kantinti and two others.
The Kyandondo East constituency seat fell vacant following the nullification of FDC’s Apollo Kantinti election through court over noncompliance with electoral laws on the side of Electoral Commission.
We now await the official announcement from the Electoral Commission.
