Legendary Ugandan singer Jose Chameleone has officially expanded his brand beyond music after launching his own radio station in Bujumbura, Burundi.

The station, named Chameleone FM, marks a major milestone in the artist’s career and fulfills a promise he made to Burundi’s President during his visit to the country in December 2025.
At the time, Chameleone had pledged to invest in the Burundian media and entertainment industry as part of strengthening cultural ties between Uganda and Burundi.
Chameleone confirmed the establishment of the radio station through a post on his Instagram account, where he shared the news with fans and followers across the region. The announcement was met with excitement, especially from his Burundian fan base, where he enjoys massive popularity.
While details about the station’s programming are yet to be fully revealed, Chameleone FM is expected to focus heavily on music, entertainment, and youth-driven content, with a strong emphasis on East African sounds.
Chameleone’s move is also seen as a strategic step in promoting East African music across borders, using radio as a powerful platform to connect cultures and amplify local talent.
