Today, Mr. Tom Gutjahr, the new Managing Director of Airtel Uganda, visited the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic development to meet with Eng. Dr. Ajedra Gabriel, the Minister of State for Finance in charge of Investment.
Flanked by the Airtel Uganda Legal Director, Mr. Dennis Kakonge, the Managing Director discussed different issues concerning the Telecom industry in Uganda at length with the minister.
Mr. Gutjahr promised to provide further access to mobile commerce services, whilst providing winning customer service support.
The Minister commended Mr. Gutjahr for the visit. “This underlines Airtel’s commitment to not only significantly improve access to telecoms services, but also to build and nurture relationships with the government and other regulatory bodies.”
