Ukraine has accused Vladimir Putin of ‘wasting the world’s time’ a day after a meeting between US and Kremlin officials failed to make progress on the peace deal.
The White House has thought a breakthrough could be achieved, despite peace envoy Steve Witkoff and President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner emerging empty-handed on Tuesday.
The duo having being invited Rustem Umerov, Ukraine’s security chief, to Florida for further talks.
But on Wednesday, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said Putin was ‘wasting the world’s time’.

He added: ‘Russia must end the bloodshed it has started. If this doesn’t happen and Putin just spits into the world’s face once again, there must be consequences.’
It came as Donald Trump said Putin wants to end the war in Ukraine.
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office last night, the US President said: ‘He would like to end the war. I think he’d like to get back to dealing a more normal life.’
