Kerry Katona spoke candidly about former model Katie Price, her best friend, in a jaw-breaking interview.
The Celebrity Big Brother star and former member of Atomic Kitten acknowledged the reality star’s strength and resilience.
‘Kate is not fragile. She’s the strongest woman I know. She’s also more sober, more together, than anyone gives her credit for. And she will get her empire back. I am in awe of her.’
Her clear verdict of Katie’s character comes despite the former model’s health battle, for which fans have expressed concern.
Katie had said last week her life became ‘sad and lonely’ following mental health challenges some time ago.
She has had several cosmetic surgeries in recent years, including one just this month on her lips and this has divided opinion.
Kerry added: ‘People said, ‘Don’t touch Kate. Don’t go near her.’ What is wrong with them? I’ve been where Kate has been. I’ve done the drugs, divorces, bankruptcy. Our lives are very mirrored. Why would I not support her? No one supported me.’
