Prince William and Princess Kate made a stylish return to royal duties on Tuesday as they visited Tobermory on the Isle of Mull, marking their first official joint appearance since taking a break over Easter.
Stepping out in coordinated blazers, William and Kate began a two-day tour of the Scottish island, coinciding with their 14th wedding anniversary. Their visit shines a spotlight on the challenges and resilience of rural communities, as well as ongoing support through the Royal Foundation’s Community Impact Programme.
To celebrate their return, the couple visited Aros Hall, a vital community space that houses a food-saving community fridge, a charity shop, and a children’s indoor play area. The hall is also frequently used by Home-Start Lorn, a local family support charity whose volunteers had the opportunity to meet the royal couple.

The visit comes shortly after the Royal Foundation announced funding to refurbish both Aros Hall and Pennyghael Community Hall. While Aros Hall will benefit from enhanced family-friendly facilities, including a soft play area, Pennyghael will undergo key upgrades to its communal areas and much-needed roof repairs.
Later in the day, William and Kate visited the bustling Tobermory Producers Market, where they met local artisans and food producers, before heading west to a croft-restaurant that spans 50 acres. There, they explored a working Hebridean sheep farm and helped gather fresh produce for the restaurant’s menu.
The visit not only underscored the couple’s dedication to grassroots initiatives but also gave royal watchers a glimpse of the Prince and Princess of Wales back in action — stylish, united, and deeply engaged with the communities they serve.
